Our mission is to ensure that every wedding is as unique as the love story that started it all. Whimsical Events was started by two hard working, passionate, strong willed women with a track record of success, Melanie Keown and Karli Himarios. Melanie and Karli met just two and a half short years ago when Karli hired Melanie to help her with her own wedding. The two hit it off right away and developed a strong bond. After the wedding, they kept in touch and while they had separate Event Planning companies, they were always cheering each other on and helping each other out whenever necessary. They were a team even before they were a team! Then one day, over a couple glasses of wine, the two had a grand idea to combine their businesses and create an entirely new brand together. They felt this merger would allow them to maximize their resources and touch more people. Once again, two strong women with a dream, dove in head first and Whimsical Events was born.
